BSc/BEd University of Lethbridge
Math has always been Jodi’s favourite subject. Graduating from the U of L in 1999 with a BSc/BEd in Math Education, she taught the first 10 years of her career at Kate Andrews High School in Coaldale and then several years at Noble Central School. Jodi has marked math diplomas, contributed to item writing and field testing as well as attended math conferences and workshops over her double decade career. Presently, Jodi teaches in all the Lethbridge Public schools as well as Palliser south schools as a substitute teacher and loves her work-life balance. Although high school Math is still her favourite, she enjoys the variety of other subjects and levels.
You may recognize Jodi form somewhere else-she has taught RTD Math on and off since 2010, but has checked in students at almost every RTD session in Lethbridge since the first one in 2010. She also provides the snacks for the weekend, so let her know your favourites:-) Jodi has a mantra in Math... ‘visualize, don’t memorize’…and will spend the extra time students need to truly understand the trickiest concepts. She wants her students to “ROCK IT!"
When not teaching, tutoring or managing RTD Lethbridge, Jodi loves spending time with her favourite people: hard-working husband Mike(social teacher at Coalhurst High), two awesome children, Madeline & Mattias, and Shorkie, named Gracie. They enjoy hiking, travelling, playing board games and watching Survivor together as a family…as well as RTD set up and take down. The Saad family ‘Rocks’!
