Dean Carter

Edmonton Public Schools - (10 years)

Dean Carter is the department head of Strathcona High School, which is the most successful Advanced Placement School in the country. Dean has taught both the regular and advanced placement curriculum in Physics 20 and 30 for several years. He is also a huge contributor to marking, developing questions, and analysis of the Physics 30 diploma exam. His extensive experience and knowledge, combined with his exceptional teaching methods allow his students to achieve at a very high standard on the diploma exam on a consistent basis.

Mark Buchynski

Mark is an excellent physics teacher at Centre High in Edmonton. Students enjoy his ability to break down difficult concepts into easily understood ideas. His fun-loving personality creates a welcoming environment for all students. Mark has experience teaching physics, biology, and science classes. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys golf, waterskiing, and football. He has coached football at Ross Sheppard High School for 12 years. He recently became a father and loves to spend time with his new son.
